The first Clinical Movement Analysis World Conference took place in Rome at the Angelicum from the 29th of September until the 4th of October 2014.

The conference is the first to combine the 23rd Annual Meeting of the European Socitey for Movement Analysis in Adults and Children (ESMAC) and the 15th Annual  Meeting of the Italian Society of Clinical Movement Analysis (SIAMOC). The Angelicum, Pontifical St. Thomas Aquinas University, was the ideal place to gather these communities.

Previous to the conference works, from the 29th to the 1st of October, a Gait Course organised by ESMAC took place, targeting those who are starting work in the field and providing a comprehensive overview of clinical gait analysis.

The event was not only hard work for both the delegates and the exhibitors.  A memorable welcome reception was held at the top floor of the Musei Capitolini, on a terrazza with a view over Rome, on the evening of the 1st of October, where everyone had a chance to meet and greet colleagues and friends coming from many parts of the world. To celebrate then a very successful conference, a gala dinner party was held at the Radisson Blu, and at the end of the three course menu everyone had a chance to join in on the dancefloor to South American rhythms.

Now we are looking forward to the 24th ESMAC meeting that will take place in Heidelberg at the Heidelberg University, and hope that it will be as successful as this one!
